The operation and evaluation of NOAA's LAPS for the Chesapeake Bay region is being conducted by the National Ocean Service Coast Survey Development Laboratory in cooperation with the National Weather Service's Baltimore/Washington Forecast Office in Sterling, VA and NOAA's Forecast System Laboratory in Boulder, CO.

The analysis portion of the NOS Chesapeake Bay Local Analysis and Prediction System (CBLAPS) generates hourly, high-resolutin surface analyses of atmospheric conditions for the bay and adjacent waters. Presently, CBLAPS has no forecast component.
